Job Notes: Setup traffic control on Smithville Road. Squeezed off 8” low pressure main at 2145 Smithville Road. Cut out section of main and fused dead end cap on live side. Put section of 8” main and services on test for uprate. Removed test from main once approved. Squeezed off existing 8” medium pressure main at 2129 Smithville Road and tied into tested main. Removed squeeze off and gassed up tested main and services. Purged main to 100% gas. Had plumbers install orifices into regulators on customers meter bars and relight effected customers. Saw cut and removed sidewalk blocks on Smithville Road and on Woodbine Ave for main uprates. Dug out what we could with an excavator in bell holes then used the vac truck to finish excavating bell holes due to utilities and electric conduit and concrete over the gas mains.
